Kylie started singing at 11 and has played guitar since she was seven, hers is a natural talent for performance and song writing. Inspired by contemporary divas, Adele, Beyonce and Jessie J, Kylie captivates audiences through voice and guitar and through the sincerity of her song writing.

‘I Will Be There’ – an original which won her the 2010 Intermediate New Zealand Gold Guitar Award – is dedicated to her father Graeme and she also penned ‘Under the Earth’, a tribute song to the miners who perished in the Pike River Coal Mine disaster.

“It’s an amazing feeling when someone comes up to you and says they can relate to your song. I always think Musicians are here to tell other people’s stories through their own songs.” says Kylie. Kylie also creates a dialogue through Country performance and song writing, with Miranda Lambert high on her list of influences. “Lambert has a way of making a simple song mean so much more. She’s
helped me see the importance of simplicity, and not to over clutter my songs.”

Kylie’s commitment to a wide range of musical styles has pushed her to ever greater heights. She starred in the New Zealand Premiere of Dusty Springfield, the Musical playing second principal ‘Reno’ and has played ‘Rizzo’ in the Kavanagh College musical Grease.

He continues to move forward with two new albums currently in production and an eagerly awaited autobiography to be published early next year.

To that end he has become involved in an organization that is very close to his heart and to which he gives every spare moment. In July 2007 he became a Director on the Board of the Music Industry benevolent trust, SUPPORT ACT LIMITED. This organization raises and distributes funds to musicians, production crew, producers, writers and other Industry members who have fallen on hard times.
As the Director in charge of State Branches, Brian has opened Support Act branches in Victoria and South Australia with new ones opening this year in New South Wales, Western Australia and Queensland.
In addition, seven years ago, he formed the now notorious Music Industry lunch group, THE DEBONAIRS. Originally started in Victoria with 12 members, the Debonairs have grown into an organization in 3 States with over 1500 members. A most successful social and networking organization, it also provides an enormous talent pool for the various activities and events that provide funds for SUPPORT ACT (www.supportact.com.au).
Widely regarded as a genuine "living legend", in 2009 Brian celebrated 43 years as a performer, writer and producer. From the seminal 60's bands The GROOP and AXIOM, through a highly successful solo career in Australia in the 70's followed by 20 years in the US and Europe writing for Joe Cocker, The Pointer Sisters, The Bellamy Brothers and many more, Brian continues to work as an artist, producer and writer and for the betterment of the music Industry.

Broderick Smith   www.brodericksmith.com/

Australian Rock icon Broderick Smith has been a clerk, storeman, soldier, advertising copywriter, graphic artist and actor and singer-songwriter.

In the early 80's, Craig & Broderick shared the stage as founding members of Yamaha Music Australia's "YAMAHA BIG BAND" and the legendary 20 piece "VIC STATE OPRY" which released one album and performed to critical acclaim at the Tamworth Music Festival & The Gympie Music Muster.

Broderick sings, plays harmonica and guitar. He writes his own material and performs other songwriter’s material as well. His stage and TV experience enables him to communicate with any audience.
Broderick started playing folk and blues music back in 1962. Leaving school and having a variety of jobs, he joined legendary Blues outfit the Adderley Smith Blues Band.
In 1968 Broderick was kidnapped by the government of the day and press-ganged into the Australian Army for 2 years, in which he spent most of the time trying to stay out of trouble.
Upon his eventual release after the collapse of the Liberal junta he helped form a country roots type act called Sundown. His first commercially recorded work was on Harvest EMI records in 1972 with Carson, a boogie and blues band. This was his first real taste of travelling the country and playing music.
Then in 1973 he helped form The Dingoes, the legendary country rock group that is a main inspiration behind the modern country rock explosion. The Dingoes aim in life was actually to carry on the great work done by another band called Country Radio and explore the possibilities of blending Bush music with R’n’B.
The Dingoes were signed up to American management in 1976 and went there to live and work until the end of 1978.
Broderick eventually came back to Australia and formed the Big Combo. During this time he also sang on the Andrew Durant Memorial concert album.
He’s released fifteen albums to date, nine under his own name, recording in Australia, Canada and the US. He has recorded with Cat Stevens, Jimmy Barnes, Steve Cropper, The Memphis Horns, Buffy Saint Marie, Phil Ochs, Ted Egan, Tommy and Phil Emmanuel. The list goes on and on.
Musicians joining Broderick on recent recordings have been known collectively as "The Guild".
Broderick's current CD IS "Unknown Country" with Matt Walker and Shannon Bourne.
he shares the harmonica chair with Ian Collard in the Backsliders, a NSW act featuring Dom Turner on guitar and Rob Hirst from Midnight Oil on drums.
Brod holds workshops on songwriting, vocals and harmonica. His workshops have taken him all over his home state, into schools, prisons, reformatories, as well as music stores.
He has been involved in the writing of around 200 songs and his solo albums have seen him writing virtually all the lyrics. He generally starts off with the lyric in a prose form and then when the music is written, tends to change the lyrics to suit the music. Broderick believes lyrics should say something and not just be something to sing along to.
